When someone says who's La Llorna.
So basically La Llorna's stories are about her and her children. Mostly people said she drowned her children after going insane. In some, she dies in depression after her children drown by accident and her husband left, in others she drowns her children because of anger and sadness because her husband cheated on her. In another version that is not so popular is that she actually drowns her kids to be with a man who wasn't interested in her because she was a mother, only to be rejected. In most cases, she realizes what she has done and regrets it immediately and feels guilty and dies or kills herself. Now she can't rest in peace in the afterlife. It is said that her soul still roams around the rivers in Mexico, Looking for children. Many says she is looking for her children, not wanting to realize they are dead. And some say she wants revenge of the other townspeople for not helping her with her children so she kills other children. And others say she wants to take other children as her own. She takes away children who are out late and alone. If she is searching for her own children and realizes you are not one of them, she drowns you. Or she might think you are one of her children and take you to the river with her to "finally rest together" only to see you were just a random child who she just drowned and goes on. And some just say she takes you away and disappear. She is called La Llorona or "The Weeping Woman" because it is said that her cries can be heard late at night, mostly cries and screams of pain and "Mis Hijos, My Kids," If you hear her loudly and close, that means she is far and giving you warning she is coming, and if you hear her far away and faintly and muffled crying, she is actually pretty close by and will get you as soon as you're distracted. -
