I used to think that all parents were like mine until I came on here.

I know, but my parents are a bit over the top.
Literally my mom thought HTTYD was inappropriate because it had a romance in it.
She thinks Harry Potter is evil because it has magic in it. (But she says Narnia is okay...?)
She says that the Internet is so horrible and consists of nothing but hackers and p--- sites (But she's on the Internet herself most of the day)
Both my parents never let us watch movies because they think we're obsessed with movies and have dreams about them and just quote them all the time (which is true but not weird)
For years my parents would never let us sit on the furniture because we used to jump on it when we were little.
My parents never let any of us stay home alone because they think we'll set the house on fire if they leave.
My mom is currently yelling at me to do school so that means I'd better go. -

Isn't the movie PG? Idk what rules they have in America about films. The internet has lots of other stuff that she probably doesn't know about. I'm allowed to stay at home, but it's usually in the holidays.

HTTYD is PG and some of the Harry Potter movies are PG too.
Dude she spends like five hours a day on Facebook. I think she knows what's out there and she's just being an ass about it. -

My mum's alright but my dad's annoying. All the time he tells me off. It's like I'm his slave because sometimes he tells me off for being too slow.

XD our parents are just the opposite. My dad is super easygoing and generally doesn't give too many s---s what I do (Well he still doesn't want me on the Internet but he's not as much of a jerk about it as my mom.)
