I swear to cow I'm literally going crazy. I bet i'll be in a psycho person facility in a year or two..
and to fix the keyboard go to settings-general- keyboards- international keyboards. if English is already on there, when you're typing there should be a little picture that looks like a circle with Grid lines right between the 123 button and the spacebar. click on that to change keyboards. :) -
