Best Answer: Guys.. goldfish CAN drown.
It's called a lack of aeration.
They can also drown from too much air exposure from too much oxygen.
And if it drowned... it's dead.

Fish can drown , if there's something caught in their gills or if they aren't formed correctly . Or another reaosn.
My goldfish drowned when something was stuck in its Gill. -
