oh, jeez..
I've got a guy telling me he wants to buy all of these beanie babies for his daughter who has brain cancer and collects them
and that's great
I'd love to help him out there -
but I have a lady who's already made plans to come get this specific one
we've already agreed on a price and everything -
now this guy wants it, and he says he'll beat any other price I've made on it by $10
and I could use the money
and I feel terrible about his daughter
but I can't just go back to this other lady and tell her someone else bought it out from under her
that would be awful -
Tell him you can't give him that one?

It's the Princess Diana bear. There are hoax articles about it being worth a lot of money, but they're all shown to be fake. I'm wondering if this person is just buying into them.

Yeah, there's a special marking on the tag that determines the value. Someone gave one to my mom when I was a baby, and it's worth about $7 now.
