'It's okay.' Carin soothed, hugging him back.
'Giiiiiiiiiles!' James called.
'Really?' Giles asked, suddenly interested.
'Yes.' the man replied. 'Was your mother's name Josephine Borden?'
'Yes! How did you know?'
'Because she's alive. She was resurrected. But I have her hostage at my house.' Giles' eyes overflowed with tears. 'Tell ya what, come with me and I'll let her out.'
'Okay.' he went with the man, despite his bleeding wrist. -
"Where the f--- is he?"
"Sullivan never yells at me...Never..." -
'He's just stressed out. It's gonna be okay, Yu.' Carin told him.
'I don't know!' James squealed.
The man lead the "teenager" to his house.
'She's in here.' he told Giles. 'Wanna go in and find her?' The Dark Angel nodded. The stranger opened the front door for him. 'Go ahead.' without another word, the teen darted in. -
"Goodness. I can't wait for your voice to change..." He joked. "Giles!"
"But...He's never done that to me...No matter how upset he gets..." -
'Oh, Yu...' Carin muttered.
'Mom!' Giles screamed, rushing desperately around the house. 'MOM! WHERE ARE YOU?!!!' He didn't notice that the man stepped inside the house and locked the door.
'Did you hear that?' James asked, hearing a desperate scream. -
Sui nodded. "You know where it came from?"
He wiped his eyes and rested his chin on her shoulder. -
'I think it came from...that house.' James suggested, pointing to a house in the distance.
'There, there.' Carin whispered.
'Can't find her, little boy?' the man asked.
'Where is she?!' Giles screamed. 'Where's my mom? You said you had her!'
'Calm down. I do have her.' He pointed towards the basement. 'She's down there, little boy.'
'MOOOOOOOOM!' Giles shouted, rushing down the stairs. He saw nothing. Suddenly, he felt light-headed and woozy. 'Mooooooooommmm....? Where...are...yooooooou???' everything went black... -
"Got it." He held him tightly and ran towards the house.
He smiled slightly and closed his eyes. "...You remind me of my mom..." -
'Heh, I do?' Carin asked, feeling flattered.
Horrified thoughts clouded James' mind. He could've sworn he'd heard Giles fall.
The man chanted a couple of words, and before anyone knew it, in place of the teenage Dark Angel was a 9-year-old boy, with long black hair. Giles was a child. -
He nodded. "She'd always hold me and tell me everything would be alright...When I was real little, she'd pat my back softly so I'd sleep..."
He tried to open the door. "It's locked...Good thing I come prepared." -
'What do you mean?' James asked. 'Do you have a hairpin to pick the lock or something?'
'Awww.' Carin smiled. -
"Sure do." He dug through his hair for a moment and pulled one out. He carefully peck at the lock.
Yu smiled and cuddled up to her. -
'Gee.' James gasped as the door swung open.
Carin smiled. It was a truly amazing feeling. Having one moment of motherliness in her life.

"I'm a pretty boy. So I'm always prepared." He smiled and took his hand.
He inhaled deeply. "I wish he'd open up so I can sleep." -
'Maybe he will.' Carin suggested, trying to re-assure him.
'Ohhhhh...' Giles groaned. 'What happened?'
'Giles????' James squeaked, noticing the 9-year-old boy. The man had disappeared.
