1. According to the article, geographical literature is critical for the future, because as stated on page 3 of the given article, "Learning geography will create citizens who are able to understand and do something about some of the major issues and problems facing the world...." also, the given article claims that "American decision makers need geographical knowledge to maintain our moral, political, and economic leaderships in a world of complex cultural and environmental relationships."
2. Page 3 of the given article claims that "Learning geography will create citizens who are able to understand and do something about something about some of the major issues and problems facing the U.S and the world." This infers that improvement of geographic instruction will better people's uncertain dent and connection with the world around them, and be able to solve world problems more efficiently.
3. According the the given article, two reasons Americans, specifically should invest more in geographic knowledge is because as stated in page 4, " Americans increasingly travel and work in areas beyond our communities, states, and nation," and "Economic globalization and job mobility require that Americans understand the nature of the foreign cultures..." This requires that geography ought to be taught in schools.
4. The given article claims on page five that " Geography requires awareness of the differences in language, race, religion, and politics..." Thus requiring that geography is a sensitive path to understanding cultural diversity.
5. According to page five of the given article, location helps lower fees and expenses, as well as increasing profit and giving customers more enjoyable experiences.
