I only dislike her because of my baby. Otherwise, I don't have an issue with her. I stopped watching Fairy Tail after she was introduced tho

I watched that anime. Erza isn't a Mary Sue, but she's quite powerful but in some amines you can see that in some dilemmas they tone down her power so she doesn't win all of the time because of her insecurities that she still faces and her past. She doesn't think she's strong enough on her own, but when she's with her "comrades" she usually defeats the enemy more brutally. This example can be seen in the Tartaros Arc. Lisanna and Natsu went to go save her. And she eventually was able to release herself from one of Zeref's prophesied demons and was able to fight the powerful demon because she knew they were hurting or going to hurt them.

Her mother dying and her father's constant negligence had a huge effect on her. There was even an arc where her father had sent a few hitman which were a daek guild(2 who had joined fairy tail and have back stories and fears and strengths and balance in their character) to find lucy and bring her back home because he didn't want her in fairy tail and wanted her to run the family business and of course as any desperate person would she ran away from home(in first episode of 1 seson). This represent a strained and iffy relationship between her dad and this has happened before she even joined fairy tail and was even a kid and still had an unpleasant and unfulfilled childhood because there was no matriachal figure and her father was just one of those typical rich men that are also busy in being rich and running businesses, which do occur in the real world. She also thinks that she isn't strong enough, but due to character development, she eventually does get stronger but people in fairy tail don't think that matters because they are there for 1 another.
Hinting(spoiler) in the manga, she gets 1 year of training and has developed a new mage spell that is called "Starcross" which is similar to Erza's armor and weapon changing abilities but can use celestial zodiac keys. -
Lucy is kinda hot and I think she's underrated.
