no, but maybe the brother isnt killed for loving her. it makes her sound heartless and the audience wont feel compassion to the main character anymore.

No, no, her family just want her dead because they're vampire hunters but she's a vampire. And they adopted a boy so that he could kill her but didn't succeed so in the end they grouped up on what to do but she killed them all, and him.

well, maybe he was hiding while she killed the rest of them, and when her back was turned he fataly wounded her and she killed him. but she dies shortly afterwords.
