And its not JUST because their all female.
It's also because all the characters have different body shapes and sizes and variation to their design -
OH MY GOD FEMALES IN A CARTOON THAT ARE "STRONG" and "BEAUTIFUL"(insect gorgeous I mean come on ;) ) AND CAN FIGHT FOR THEMSELVES, THEY DUN NEED NO MAN!1!1!1 FCK STEVEN HE'S USELESS AND ALL GAIS R USE LESS K SUGAH IS AWESOME! STAND UP TO PATRIARCHY!1!1!1 WE'RE BEING OPPRESSED BY NOT BEING SEEN AS THESE STRONG FEMALES PORTRAYED IN A CARTOON SHOW! FIGHT THE PATRIARCHY! SUGAH PLEASE AUTOGRAPH MY BOOBS AND LET ME LICK YOUR FACE TO INITIATE YOU INTO A FEMINAZI!1!1!1

What? Steven is getting stronger, dude. Their taking time on his character development it's showing that he's getting stronger each episode.

What does it matter if they look like other cultures Gods? People have been doing that for years, referencing them in video games, books, television shows, movies. Throughout the entire Megami Tensei gaming series, every demon is based off of some form of lore from ancient Japanese to Hindu to Greek to Christian and so on.
I'm not surprised that Rebecca Sugar created characters that referenced ancient Gods and Goddesses.

I've seen Steven use his shield many a time now. He's getting there.

And when they get inspired, they somewhat reference what they were inspired by?

You don't see he's getting stronger? CAUSE I MEAN. Not as much physically but definitely mentally. He's even able to use his shield now unlike how he didn't before

And f---ing yes I do know what I'm complaining about. Steve Universe? What kind of f---ing logic is that?
It's not something to strain about. Because, f---ing really? The equality of men and women? I don't see that. The majority of the characters are female-like humans that are blissfully made and have superhuman powers and weapons that make them higher beings and they're only like 2-3 men that I have seen throughout the series, but if there were more I can tell you that there's much more female characters. And you know what they f---ing do to the ONLY main male characters that were basically prominent THROUGH the series? They portray Steven's as some very fat, lazy slob when clearly any other choice of design could have been chosen to represent them better. -
I didn't say the show had equality between men and women. Clearly you don't know how to read. I simply said, in response to your 'praised by feminist' bull, that I'm not even close to the recent definition of feminist and stated my own belief in what should be happening in this country.
And Steven looks like his dad. Yet he's far from lazy. He has more enthusiasm and drive to go out and do something compared to kids in reality. Not to mention he's a kid so puberty isn't a thing for him yet. Rose Quartz wasn't little either. She was a tall, plump gem. I honestly think it would be rather strange if Steven looked like his mother. -
Lol they protray Amethyst as a fat lazy slob, selfish, and always seekign approval from garnet.All of the characters have different personalities, negative and positive traits. Like Pearl is uptight and is envious of Steven(as showed in Rose's succarb(idk how to spell it) and doesn't understand the connection between humans as shown in a newer episode when she didn't want Steven and Connie fighting together. And she's also very frail and wants to be stronger. Her self esteem is f---ing low. Steven isn't even LAZY. He's pretty active and outgoing and has a trait all the other characters don't. And it's that understanding mentality and how he's able to see past the bad and see good in others. Like how he did with Lapis even though selfishly took the OCEAN to go back home. And even though she was a f---ing threat to earth he helped her and gave her her powers back and then Lapis reports them later to the higher ups. He's a very kind boy and gets along with everyone. And without Steven the show wouldn't be as good at all. LOL HE EVEN TRUSTED THIS SNAPPING BUG THING THAT COULD BITE HIM AND MELT HIS FLESH AND KEPT IT AS A PET BECAUSE HE THOUGHT IT WAS JUST MISUNDERSTOOD. Steven is such an important aspect because he also has that different point of view from everyone.
