So....apparently Whiplash was supposed to be a good movie. I checked all the reviews before watching it, and everyone said it was amazing, spectacular, a must-see, touching, breathtaking, etc. It was okay starting out, but it just dragged on for ages. I mean seriously I GOT THE FREAKING POINT THAT THE TEACHER DIDN'T LIKE HIM and then they threw in that crap toward the end about how the whole time the teacher just wanted to produce a really great musician. I mean seriously. I guess it didn't help that I don't know or care twopence about drumming or jazz, and it just felt like I was supposed to be impressed with this drummer guy. And the ending was supposedly really amazing? IT FREAKING SUCKED!!! WHAT KIND OF AN ENDING WAS THAT??? Okay, sure, the teacher smiled at him and was proud of him and all, but the kid practically threw his life away...for...jazz. I don't know, it just seemed like it wasn't much to be proud of, and I don't see why Jeremy Jahns almost crapped himself in excitement over this piece of garbage. Okay, sure, the guy was relatable because everyone has had that music teacher (or other teacher) that just gets under your skin and grinds the hell out of your everything and pushes you to practice your ass off, but it was just disappointing. And the moral of the story is...don't let dick teachers discourage you from following your dream by making you practice too hard, but then end up practicing too hard anyway to impress said dick teacher, and dump your new girlfriend because you think she'll hinder your dream. Enlighten me on how this is admirable.

Okay, well that's comforting to know that my scores on InstantCert are so low because InstantCert is incompetent at distinguishing between Precalculus and Calculus.

Where did all the good users go? This site used to have people that actually legitimately cared about each other and not just a bunch of 12-year-olds that are crushing all over each other just because they have nothing better to do.
