Referencing Brother hood! artemis who overheard the proffeser saying they couldn't help her and the best thing to do was send her to an asylum for mutants becuase she lost control of her dream manipulation abilites and put jean in a coma for three days.
She ends up running away and being found by mystique who looks after her nad convinces her that she will help her and for Artemis to join the brotherhood
There are three current artemiss's ( six If you count each future verse )
X - men! Artemis she didn't out jean in a coma instead only blasting her into a wall this was when he decided for sure not to use her abilites except in dire circumstances even after they're under control
Traitor artemis - Same story as brother hood artemis but a misunderstanding leaves her to be caved in after an accident caused by a team member when they were trying to save her ( she thought he was trying to help her brother kill her ) so she ends up Rejoining the X-men but she changes her name and wears her old wig and contacts
She no longer speaks -
