  However, it might be true that he tried to only kidnap her, shooting her in the foot to disable her, but was attacked by the snake which he tried to kill, but ended up shooting his wife instead!

  *Casey fell to the floor, the venom spreading, he wanted to save his wife in his dying moments but shot her instead.

  Or Casey got disoriented by the venom after it bit him, the snake went to get his wife. He shot at it and missed, hitting her in the foot. The snake left, nd because of the side effects of the venom, he shot his wife, killing her, then he died from the venom

  Casey was already trying to kill Laila. He shot her in the chest on purpose, but was bit by a snake in the process. Trying to get rid of the snake, he also shot her in the foot.
