You load a gun, usually a sort of revolver with a spinning barrel, and you load it with one bullet. Then you spin the barrel and snap it shut. That way you don't know where the bullet is. You can either put it against your own head, or your friends head and pull the trigger. It'll either go click or bang.

Well, I've already loaded the gun so... *Hands you the gun* Put it to your head and pull the trigger. It'll either go click or bang. There's only one bullet in there out of six though, so you have a low chance of dying.
