4 billion stars, you said it might not even be able to handle that much.

Well the program starts glitching out and/or becomes extremely laggy in huge numbers. I mean sure, once we have petabyte or even exabyte hard drive storage computers, maybe files will be able to be converted into something usable by then and the project could continue, but I'm sure as of now Universe Sandbox wouldn't be able to handle much more than about a thousand stars with systems, and that's with glitches, without glitches happening...maybe as low as a hundred star systems.

Yeah, It's already started acting up, but I think that's only because I did something it doesn't like: put a brown dwarf for a sun instead of a low-mass red dwarf.
