Eilloh you are fairly uneducated when it comes to that aren't you. -_- A longsword is by far more of a hacking weapon than a katana. Katanas are actually described as being a sword that DOES have a clean smooth elegant cut.
P Wolf katanas aren't at all all that durible, they can dull somewhat quickly after so many slices through a zombies spin at the neck.
I'd use a katana and for a gun I'd use a semi auto scoped rifle, maybe a mini ruger 14, said to be somewhat inaccurate but at the range I'd need to actually use it I could definitely hit my mark. -
