Isn't there a therapist somewhere? Your father is abusive, and lots of dads are like that. They also snatch up the opportunity of rape and murder. You seriously need counseling, and your father needs to put himself in prison.

He's not a bad person SG, he just drinks too much sometimes...And I know it sounds crazy but when he's sober and he apologizes, I have to forgive him because you can tell he's sincere and even though I know he'll just hit me again I can't help but forgive him...

A man pleads for forgiveness, but never learns his lesson. An abusive person always apologizes at the end so they can manipulate you and make them your puppet until you are finished, emotionally and pyschically damaged. It's a cycle, they are just sincere so you can forgive them and let it go so they can keep doing it but they should know humans aren't like that quite often.

He's still my dad, he still hugs me and says he loves me, even if he does hit me he doesn't mean to, he doesn't realize what he's doing...

It's like an abusive relationship with couples, only father and daughter. You love them, but pain is inflicted in between.

I am afraid he is going to be NO longer that loving father you had. Drinking alcohol can be signs of depression or stress or something is going on, so they need something or someone to punch or hit to let it out. Lucy, you need to understand that this is serious and you can get hurt later on.

Yeah.. Rave keeps saying I'm making excuses for him, but I really don't think he means to hurt me, I just get in the way sometimes, and when he drinks to much he doesn't realize what he's doing...*huggles Anri and everybody else* Thanks guys, it really means a lot to me that you all care...

That's the problem, Jupiter, he still is my 'loving father'. When he apologizes he really means it, when he says he loves me it sounds like he still means it. He's not hurting me on purpose.
