The blood stained the walls like a paintball fight happened in the house and they used red paint. A wonderful masterpiece was made that night as the gunshots rang in the air and the screams of pain and horror followed. I smiled and laughed while I watched them all fall. I could smell the blood, and their fear, and I laughed at them. The poor souls thought they could run from me. Ha! So they tried, and yet they failed. The darkness consumed them as more shots and screams rang out as I slowly went def to their screams soon enough. Thick and sticky, I felt their blood splatter on my own clothes and my face. Like I said, a masterpiece was painted that night. It was painted with screams and laughter and pain. It was a fun night that night, watching them slowly suffer and choke on their own blood. I made them feel the same pain that I felt long ago; all of them. Their pain ended soon enough as they're now rotting away six feet under with the falling daises that were laid on their graves. Ah, the white flowers that were laid down. They'll all fall off one day and it'll just be a rotting stem. Like the bodies; the skin will be the petals, beautiful until the only thing left is a poor and fragile skeleton. And while they're rotting away, they'll be forgotten. What I did will be forgotten and no one will care about the masterpiece and I'll go down as one of the great forgotten! See kids, death is only a chapter in our lives, and after the book is finished people slowly forget the events that took place and the book becomes torn and ripped as the book becomes out of style. The fear, the pain, the numbness, that will all fade and they'll all be forgotten. I shall be forgotten as just another criminal rotting in a cell. I'm a flower in full bloom, stained with red as I got the ink of life all over me but my petals will fall off one day and just rest on the ground until they're blown away. Then I'm just left as a stem which will be carelessly broken in half for someone else needs and I'll just fade into the ground with my victims. I will remember the screams though. The screams of the children were the best. Though I, along with my masterpiece, will long be forgotten with time, I shall not forget.

Fine. I hate it tho.
Rose's golden hair sparkled in the moonlight. She usually wasn't one to go out this late, but she needed to get away from home for a bit. She figured the park would be a nice place to escape to, and the freezing cold air allowed her mind something else to focus on.
The shadows of the trees and stars above made for a pretty sight, but an ominous one none the less. Uncertainty echoed in the back of Rose's head, but she dismissed it as her worrying about her family. "I can't do anything about it," she assured herself aloud, her breath leaving fog. Her thoughts were swept aside when she heard footsteps behind her. Fear locked Rose in place. The steps continued towards her and she forced herself to turn around. What she saw only shocked her further.
Standing in front of her a hooded figure, but when it stepped closer, Rose realized it's identity. "Ashten? What are you doing here?" Ashten moved her hand into her pocket. "I could ask you the same thing, but I prefer not to question my luck." Rose was about to ask what she meant by luck, but stopped when she saw what Ashten had pulled out of her pocket- a knife. "See, I was going to call you over to my place, but when your brother answered the phone I found out you weren't there. I had nothing better to do so I went for a walk, and here you are." Rose eyed the knife Ashten held. "Why did you want to see me? You never talked to me before." A smirk appeared on
Ashten's face. "No one plans a murder out loud, dear."
Without a moment's hesitation, Rose ran. She could hear Ashten chasing her but she didn't care. There were so many questions flooding Rose's mind but she didn't dare ask them. Right now a second could cost her her life, and no question was worth dying for.
Things began to blur in front of Rose. She didn't know how far she had run, but she could see street lights. This meant she had made it far out of the park. She was unsure whether or not she was still being chased when she found herself in a dead end alley, almost engulfed in darkness. She turned and found the answer.
"Looks like miss energetic can't run anymore," Ashten taunted her. Rose narrowed her eyes. "Why are you doing this? What did I ever do to you?" Rose was more confused than she had ever been in her entire life, and she feared she wouldn't live to know the answers. Ashten used her sleeve to clean her knife. "See, you've brought me more anger than I'd like to know existed. My life will only improve once you're gone. No more being forgotten in your shadow, no more watching you with hatred. Your eyes have only looked down upon me, and now it's time for them to close."
Before Rose could protest, Ashten held the knife to her chest. "Oh, those pretty, pretty eyes." She brought the knife down and felt victory as Rose fell to the ground. Ashten scoffed. "Even her blood is pretty." It was true, her crimson blood was a sight to behold underneath the stars.
