Wait no, scratch that. Kaguya's family has lived in the village since the beginning. Her ancestor Tsukiyomi helped found the village, and he was the first 'White Snake'.
So, maybe I should fix this. It's a village, and there are multiple clans. One clan was a cute idea, but it's illogical.
Tsukino Clan started with Tsukiyomi, and all can communicate with snakes, among other things. Kaguya inherited his ability to see into the future, and commune with the Moon. -
Tsukino Clan is still a quiet clan. They don't cause trouble, pacifistic for the most part. Or at least, that's what it seems to others.
Kaguya's father, Tatsunari, is the head of the clan, but he's been missing for months.
Kaguya refuses to give up hope, as she still can detect his life with the power of the White Snake.
Anytime her father is brought up she becomes even quieter than normal, or if he's being put down, she becomes unnaturally violent to the point she almost killed Ito. -

I blame Naruto like s--- man. I start watching it again and it all goes downhill.xD] -
it'd be stereotypical to make a rivalry between Ito and Liang. I can see them being best friends, to be honest. Liang playful and loyal but easily angered, Ito being tricky and a jokester and constantly flirting because obviously he was the chosen one for women.
