Cynos is a dweeb. Ilan is a serial killer.
To Cynos, Ilan is his big sister. He'd defend her from death itself.
To Ilan, Cynos is a disposable piece of trash whom she kidnapped because of a one time situation, and now only keeps alive because he has proven himself more useful alive.

Also Cynos is a Kurta. His eyes glow red when he's feeling a strong emotion. His father went out to start his own business outside the village when he was young, and married a regular lady. They had a kid, and he was Cynos. A cute little brunette with bright blue eyes that turned red everytime he had a tantrum.
And then one day, coming home from school, Cynos found Ilan in his living room. Her story was his parents had abandoned him, when in fact she'd murdered them, for the father's eyes.
And after years of manipulation and s--- Cynos is now experiencing Stockholm syndrome like a boss.
