I've wondered what a world ruled by...
...er, only populated by me and a few others would be like.
It could end in drama or it could go well. -

I actually have wondered about that. And I feel we'd be physically smiting a lot of people, and then we'd all turn into monsters and eat anyone we didn't like. We'd keep evolving until we became something like a Shinigami from Death Note or one of those other gross predatorial monsters and devour all the newbs- cuz that's how we do- and I think it would be f---ing hilarious because newbs would join and they'd pop into the world and some other poor b------ would race out to save them and tell them to keep their heads down and they'd become good friends, maybe develop a romantic relationship, and then the older of the two would be slaughtered by the older users right in front of the newer one, who would then flee and vow to save as many newbs as possible from us monsters, thus continuing the cycle.

Either that or we'd just split up into factions and never interact.

I think the factions is a realistic idea. We would probably leave most of the noobs to fend for themselves while some older users band together with their friends.
