Hi everyone! I just got back from Korea and it's like 6 in the morning now.
OK, here's what I did each day I was there:
APRIL 30th: ARRIVAL We got to our hotel, which was called Millenium Seoul Hilton at 7PM, we just sat and watched TV because we were tired.
MAY 1st: MYEONG DONG Myeong Dong is a shopping plaza near our hotel, because most of Korea is all mountains, they have less space, so they make like 6 story Starbucks and stuff, and they had loads of little stalls, it was quite busy, but I guess that was 'cause it was the weekend.
MAY 2nd: INSADONG Insadong is also a shopping area but smaller, a little farther and it's full of antique shops, my mum bought a 200,000 won (Which is like 700Dhs) cow, and my brother bought an old 80's style calculater, it was all vintage stuff.
We also went in to a museum which was called Kokdu A Kokdu is a small statue that was put on people's graves to help them reach heaven, because they supposdly said that the path was long and far and the sould can get lost, and there were different Kokdu's, some for entertaining, some for protecting and so on, they resembled humans and animals, of course, I think it's a bit... stupid but I have to respect their culture.
MAY 3rd: DOK SU GONG PALACE It's a tiny palace which is right by the hotel, and next to the palace is a Dunkin' Doughnuts (LOL!) it's very peaceful inside, apparently, it was only there because the emperor's original palace which was much bigger had been burnt down by the Japanese, so he stayed in that one temprorarily, the weather was really nice and peaceful, and there were loads of flowers and bushes and trees, and a fountain of crystal clear blue water, too.
MAY 4th: KELLY CLARKSON CONCERT Kelly Clarkson did a concert in the Olympic Stadium which was really far from our hotel, we took a taxi to the subway (Which was 20 minutes away) and had a ten minute walk, then about 15 stops until we finally got there, she sang songs like: Miss Independent, All I ever wanted, Walk away, Sober, Never again, My life would suck withought you, I want you, Breakaway, since U been gone, behinnd these Hazel eyes, and more. It was fun and I really enjoyed it, but it was 2 hours, and ended at 10 PM, but when you think, in concerts it's usually the singer has recorded it so it's just playing the record, but she sang for two full hours with no break, and of her own voice, so she was REALLY good, and it was fun.
MAY 5th: THE WEDDING My brother Salem was getting married to a nice woman named Ahn Boyeon, she's a stewardess on airplanes, and the wedding was in Lotte Hotel, I wore a frilly white top with black trousers, and we went to a salon that two other brides were there for their weddings, LOL! Boyeon has three neices and two nephews, of the neices I know Yunji who is the eldest at around 7 years old, and Dohi, I don't know how old she is, and I know one of the two nephews whom was Dohi's brother Suchan. The food was great, everyone enjoyed it and my mum and sister in law (Whom is married to my older brother) got to wear the Hambo, which is the traditional Korean style dress, because only married women could wear it, my mum was wearing Lilac and purple, and my sister in law was wearing dark pink and a soft yellow. It was fun! And I liked the beginning where the mothers of the bride and gromm come in and each light a candle.
MAY 6th: SEOUL MUSEUM OF ART AND SEOUL TOWER There was an exhbition on the works of Auguste Rodin, the famous sculptor, it was really good, and I liked it, but before that, we went to a cartoon museum, and apparently that's where they do the drawings for The Simpsons! And before that, we went to Seoul tower, we went by those... what do you call 'em? Those boxes stuck to a wire and they go up and down the mountain? Well those. It was FREEZING, and there, around the fence, you can buy locks and papers, for you to write a message and lock it to the fence, I wrote:
From Dubai, we Korea very much
MAY 7th: GOING HOME Well, that's today, we had a 10 and a half hour flight back, and we arrived at six in the morning, but my idiot dad forgot to keep the gate unlocked so I had to clim the walls and open the gate from the other side, and here I am, telling you what happened, we didn't do much before our flight, we just went rounnd Insadong one last time 'cause we didn't look properly the first time.
And that was my trip to Korea, I loved it, and I'd want to visit it again very soon.
But one thing... their popstars... so GAY! I mean, seriously, there were these two boy bands, one was called 2AM and the other 2PM, it was like WTF, and there was this boy band that all looked gay, one was blond, one was ginger haired, one was supposdly the "Bad boy" and two were some retards, and it had their poster on top of a store called BaviPhat, and guess what it sold? Make up! So gay! I mean come on, and there was this girl band, I saw a music video of theirs on the TV in the hotel room, the song was called "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang" and my mum was like: Hey! Chitty Bang is off Mary poppins! You know? The car! And now they've turned it in to some crappy Korean pop sh1t!
Sorry if that last part was racist, but DAMN, and I thought Arabic stuff was sh1t. -
wow, just wow.

Welcome back Roady! Sounds like you've had a lot of fun, very cool. And LOL! The whole Kpop part made me laugh, I've heard of 2PM and 2AM but haven't really heard their music. But not all of it is bad! I like DBSK and Super Junior. Anyways, hi
