Three doors down at half past three
I heard a sound, a sound peculiar to me.
Though unaware of what may follow
I stepped downstairs and into the hollow
Night, feeling the feeling of something called fright.
3 doors down, I wandered down the street
As shadows bent corners and sent the sidewalk
Twirling beneath my feet.
Three doors down and not a peep
Just the wind of the night and the footsteps of my feet
I soon felt the feeling that I should just be asleep
And so I hurried back down to my corner of the street
Where the shadows do not bend corners and the sidewalk
Stays firmly beneath my feet. -
I should really go to bed before I start writing more :P

I really hate writer's block. Not the writer's block where you can't think of the right way to start a sentence or when you can't decide whether it should be lightly drizzling or pouring sheets, but the kind of tormenting writer's block that infects you with self-doubt and thus self-loathing of the fact that you don't know where any of it is going and are therefore failing your characters miserably.
