"Grazie." I said, and turned to leave. I was planning on finding that Greek and teaching him a lesson.
-
"Wait!" I said to the leaving girl. "You can't leave, we have to stick together, or we'll never find our way home."
-
"There is a possibility we would find our way home if we split up and meet back here at sun down. That way we'd all be able to find out more things." I said.
-
"Well..." I said "Okay. By the way, I earned some money." I showed the 5 small bronze coins.
-
I turned, left, and went off to find that no good Greek.
-
I decided to see how much food would cost. I went up to a table with all sorts of exotic fruits. I looked at them, and asked the man selling them how much they cost. This is what I found out:
Beer- one silver coin
5 dates(the fruits)- two bronze coins
Bushel of 5 banana's- One silver coin
5 figs- I bronze coin
2 Coconuts- One gold coin -
I didn't find the Greek, but I did however find a job. The job was a cleaning survice, only needed once every other day. The paying was one silver coin per working day. I started off to the adress.
-
Then I noticed that I was getting hungry. I looked at what money I had, and decided that it wouldn't be enough to eat on. I tried finding a new job, but few normal ones were available. But I was desperate, so I decided to take the job of caring for plants in a local rich man's home.
-
Upon arriving, I knocked on the door and looked around. This must be the living courters of someone rich, for there were many gold decor. The door opened, and I turned to face the ancient demi-god.
-
When I arrived at the adress, the house turned out to have 37 rooms, and in each one, were about 10 plants. When I asked the rich man about what he would may me, he said 2 silver coins, and 1 gold coin becuase there were many plants to take care of. I took the job.
-
"What do you want, Roman?" he asked, "I'm here to take the job. Until my camp-mates and I can get back to our own time, we need to live. You know, eat and have a place to stay." I replied.
-
I basically had to splash every plant with a liquid that was water mixed with soil. I splashed every plant carefully, making sure no water gets onto the leaves.
-
The Greek rolled his eyes, and let me in. He lead me to a large room where a man and woman sat.
-
Once 35 rooms were done, the man told me that was enough for my first day. However, he only gave me one silver and one gold coin. I thanked him and took the pay.
-
After a chat with the man and woman, I was gievn the job. The Greek showed me which rooms I would clean today, and left me to my work.
