I reached the temple a few minutes later. Out of breath, for I ran. I walked in and loked around. There were statues of all the Gods, Greek anyway.
-
The house on the hill. I turned around. No hills in sight. But when I looked passed the tree that had the paper on it, I saw a hill, a house on it. I walked towards it.
-
I found a praying section, and walked towards it. Before I reached it, I was knocked to the ground by an ancient greek guy. He was about my age, and had firey red hair. His light blue eyes stared down at me with disgust. "What is your purpose for being here, Roman child?" he asked. And ancient demi-god!
-
Once I reached it, I had to climb a steep hill. As said in the paper, I knocked 6 times on the door. The door opened and a small woman with dark brown hair tied into a bun and dark olive skin opened the door.
"I'm here for the job." I said. She nodded and let me inside. -
"I-I-I" I stuttered, "And why are you dressed like that?" he asked. I stood up, and dusted myself off. "I came from the U.S, New York in fact. That's some while in the future, and this happens to be in fashion." I replied, returning his disgusted stare.
-
Mr. Meztoriaton asked me a few questions about why I wanted such a job at such a young age, and I said because my father works at the market and nobody has been buying his produce. He bought the story and let me have a job.
-
The ancient demi-god didn't seem to believe me, just looked me up and down. "Begon with you, Roman slum." he said finally, "Leave this place of Greek worship to the Greks." I growled, "This may be my only way to speak with the Gods. With their help, my camp-mates and I can saftly reach our time."
-
I went to the kitchen, she decided to make Greek Salad first, she cut up the lettuce, tomato, feta and olives, then she cut up and added to the bowl cucumbers, onions, radishes and dolmades, then she dressed it with some oil and vinegar I found in the almost-empty pantry.
-
(I not she*)
-
The ancient demi-god laughed, "Such lies you tell, Roman. I say once more, begon!" "I'm not leaving until I can talk to the Gods." I said firmly.
-
Then I decided to make some Scordalia, I began by crushing the Garlic, then got out a few almonds and walnuts to roast, I then peeled the potatoes, then I liquid soaked the stale bread in olive oil to make it smoother, she added a touch of vinegar, and though eggs aren't normally added, she decided to put one or two anyway, then she cooked the cod and squeezed some lemon on it, and finally put a hint of Garlic, she then carried the Greek Salad and Scordalia to the dining room. I placed it on the big wood table in a big dish.
When lunch time came around, and Mr. Meztoriaton tasted her foods, he was delighted.
"Magnificent!" he proclaimed and gave be a small bronze coin.
