I ignored all the stares I was getting cause I didnt throw any of my food into the fire

"Nicki? Can...can we talk?" I looked up, and glared at the immensely beautiful woman. "No, Mother, we cannot talk. You had your chance- 12 years worth of chances!"

I finished eating. I went to the fire and, for the joke of it, threw the crumbs into it. I left and got my armor and weapons, deciding to explore the forest

Mom stared at me, her eyes almost overflowing with tears. "No," I said. "You never came near me for thirteen years. I think you can wait another few months, until I'm ready."

I went to the forest and saw the girl and some lady. I walked to them

Mom stared at me a moment longer, then nodded. "Okay then," she whispered. "I'll see you again after your quest." Mom disappeared in a puff of scented smoke.
"Stupid gods," I muttered. -
"You're telling me! So what's the prophecy?

"One claimed by three
Bound with chains, never free
killer of weak
Truth is what she seeks.
To the west and the enemies,
one returns home.
Uprooting the immortal's secrets,
found with ease,
three shall be hidden from sight of the dome.

I tilted my head. "When you were in the middle of being claimed by Hades, I...I think it's you, Zair."
