She opened the door and shifted, laying down on the rug. -

I lay down next to her. -
(The party was hilarious....)
She put her tail between her legs and rolled over onto her back. -
(Im in some sort of assembly)
I moved towards her and nose her gently. -
(At school? Assemly for what? and is he in human form or wolf form?)
