Jill took the extra ace bandage ace had given her from her pocket and quickly wrapped it around his leg. "There."

Jill's heart pounded. "How long is this thing?"

"Well that's wonderful." She said in a sarcastic tone. Jill leaned, panting.

"Ace......me to...." Jill felt terrible. Like somehow it was her fault.

Jill looked down and wondered about marissa and her friends. They must be worried to death. She missed marissa so much.

"Marissa is probably going crazy worrying about me." Jill thought for a second. "What if she called the police."

"Thank you sooo much ace." Jill dialed in the number. "Shhh.." Marissa picked up the phone. She was obviously at a party. "Hello?" Jill smiled. "Omg my god. Marissa. I'm fine, i promise." "Jill!!" Marissa yelled into the phone. "Where are you?!" Jill knew she had to come up with something. "I'm in vermont with some friends. There was no signal so i couldn't call and tell you, but we found a coffee shop. Love you, i need to go now. Tell my friends where i am. Bye." Jill could feel marissa smiling through the phone. "K, love ya kiddo, bye." Jill hung up and handed the phone back to ace. It felt good to have carter comforting her.

"Yea." Jill wondered how long it was. How could someone die? Even if it was 10 miles, how?

"This thing can't be more than 10 or 5 miles long, right?" She wondered.

"Mkay." Jill slowly ate the granola bar, and laid down next to carter.

Jill smiled and fell into a deep sleep.

For the first time in her life, jill had a pleasant dream. She was with all her friends, marissa, carter, and ace with her boyfriend. They were all sitting in the meadow, talking. It made jill feel so amazing. -
