Their songs always have meanings,and they ROCK! They have awesome styles,awesome everything! Boulvard of Broken Dreams,American Idiot,Know Your Enemy,and She's A Rebel are my favorite songs by them.

They are my first rock band so I owe them a lot in musical influence. And their songs are awesome, my favorite is... When I Come Around.

They're actually total s--- when you think about it.
They think they're all Rock and Roll, what they fail to realize is that there is an amazing genre that is more brutal than them.
Alas, I shall admit, that I liked them when I was younger, about 9 or 10 years old. I used to listen to more Rock than Metal back then, but blah, dun like them anymore. -
tongue NewbieYou know I like music more brutal and caustic than Green Day, but being heavy doesn't count for everything. Genuine musicality in any genre is endearing, and Green Day have it. And Green Day has never claimed to be a Heavy Metal band.

Green Day falls more into Alternative than Rock.

tongue NewbieI really don't like the label "alternative". What the hell does it even mean anymore? When I hear the term Alternative, I think of in a modern sense all of drek on rock radi(Shinedown, Breaking Benjamin, Three Days Grace, and a million other bands that sound alike and offer nothing fresh), which is really as calculated and commercial as the mainstream. 20 years after Kurt Cobain created the genre, the term Alternative is dead.
