MoonlightNinja NewbieGah! My parents don't want me to become a singer cuz they think I'm too weak to handle hate and sh-t!!! They don't see me in school putting up with bullies and not caring what the f--- they are saying to me. I don't know what path to go cuz I also want to become an author if singing doesn't work out! But I really want to become a singer!!!

Infinity NewbieI don't think being an author pays so well. I also want to, but I had a subsitute that published 3 books say it doesn't pay alot. I'll do it to said messages in a story.
You can be a singer and publish stories. You'll get more publicity 1 way or another. -

Stop crying and keep practicing. I honestly think your parents are testing you right now. You complaining about it is showing that you can't take it when someone 'hates'. So you're proving your parents right by making this thread. Go up to them, say you don't care what they think, if you want to be a singer, then do it. Practice, take choir, ask someone to give you private lessons. Make your voice the best you can and live up to that dream. -

Honestly, being an author only pays well if people like the book ya know. If it's a bestseller, then you get paid a lot.

Parents will do that. My dad is different. He says "If you wanna do this, then do it." when it comes to my dreams.
