I really thought that sub genres were nescecary to identify a bands music, but now it's turing into complete bull crap. There are a lot of s--- talkers, and it just never ends. What ever happened to listening to music? Oh my god. (This does not apply to any mainstream stuff like pop, rap, etc. [Really has nothing at all to do with it])

I believe that a genre is just to kind of describe what the music is and not label it.

I know right? I mean, I've seen POP BANDS that dress up as Emo's and are immediatly labelled Rock just cause of their clothes.

Well tell me if I do or don't: People won't like bands because they look at the gerne, don't like the genre, and figure they won't like the music that band is making. Am I getting it?
