  Metal and rock are materials of earth. Country is either a nation or rural place. Rap is crap without the c (jk my rap loving friends lol). Pop is popular.

  Country comes from "the country". "Rapping" is the act of rhyming. And metal comes from the fact that the genre was started in British steel towns.
