Yeah, sure it sounds awesome, but you don't know wtf they're saying. ._.
-
I'm not hating though.
-
That's the point. By not understanding the lyrics, you can thoroughly experience the music. By not worrying about what it is they're saying, you can really let the beauty of the melodies and harmonies take over. ^^ That's my view, anyway. It goes for any type of music. I constantly listen to French music, but I know what they're saying. I started listening to Spanish music the other day. It's gorgeous.

.3. That's a stupid reason but whatever.
-
I agree with Lana.
-
It's not stupid. It's true. Besides, I want to go to Japan so hearing how things sound really helps. :/ Have you ever bothered to try to listen to just the music without removing the lyrics because you think they'll distract you?
Plus, when the songs are translated, older bands and musicians will tend to make their work deep and meaningful. Unlike the majority of American crap that enters my ears. -
Wait, how the f--- is that a stupid reason?
I don't listen to anything in english anymore because I know everything they sing about is retarded.
But if I listen to something I don't understand, I can appreciate it more cause I concentrate more on the emotions of the instrumentals and I feel the emotion flow through easier.
With music in english: It's...no. I can't stand it anymore. -
But it's English. Yknow, that language you speak?
There's not point in that. Isn't that why there's instrumental songs? -
We all have our opinions, Ozze. I love foreign music. So much.
And besides, I'm currently learning Japanese.
The only good English-speaking music I know is what I've had to do some digging to find. I'm in love with Florence Welch and Fever Ray. -
Anything I hear on the radio is terrible (English) because all I can find is sex, drugs, and all night partying.
(also, I don't fully speak english, just well enough to communicate properly)
at least I know how to find decency when it's in a different language. -
I thought you were more un-American than this, Oz...
I like hearing a voice but I focus on the music that compliments that voice.
Darkness compliments Kyo.
Joy compliments Takeru.
Sadness and Melancholy compliment Ruki.
I enjoy finding a sound where the music often goes with the voice. But I enjoy the sweet sounds of drum and guitar used in various ways... -
Okay then. I'm just going to accept these answers because I know everyones gonna fuking get pissed at me some how. So yeah...
And Ting. It's the radio. Completely Mainstream. You can't expect awesomeness on the radio.
Mo.. Okay. So now I'm not unamerican? Because I don't understand this Jrock thing. That is so fin and one sided... -
America isn't the only place that speaks English.
-
I can't find decnt english music anywhere else (I HAVE NO IDEA HOW TO LOOK FOR THESE THINGS Dx) So I'm kind of stuck listening to music in either my own language, japanese, spanish, french, or even russian.
-
I'm not angry or trying to fight with you, Ozze. But it's more than possible for their to be beautiful music in other languages other than English.
