honestly it redeemed the entire vengeance saga, I might just be rambling because I just listened to it but rn I think it might be better than the Underworld saga

also i feel so cheated can we get a Penelope saga please
it doesn't have to be a big deal i don't want to stress Jorge out after all the work he put into Epic, but just a couple songs about penelope and circe please that would make my day (also maybe just one or two concept albums for Achilles and Patroclus but really it's not a big deal) -
i love Anna Lea
I haven't heard her own music yet (I'm going to, i promise) but her voice in epic is beautiful and she's so pretty omggggg -
ok seriously i love this saga-
the fact that you could be able to use every song in it for an audition makes it just so much better because then it makes me imagine me and my friends (*cough* Layla and Elise *cough*) practicing each song together -
spoilers for the saga
i LOVE how Penelope mentioned the bed he made for her (that sounds weird but iykyk) because it's one of my favorite facts about Odysseus and i was scared they wouldn't mention it
also i love how they didn't do the challenge where odysseus is in disguise and stuff because I'm not a fan of it (it was fine for Homer but it's not that good in a modern day story) and they just had it be a trick i love that so much -
it was a fantastic finale, I'm very happy with it. It brought back everything I loved about the musical from the beginning (I learned about it when the Cyclops saga first came out so I'm an 'old' fan)

Every song breaks my heart in a different way but heals it at the same time, and that's what musicals are supposed to do to you, so I'm happy

slight nitpick i have with it though (spoilers)
during the Would You Fall in Love with Me Again song instead of Penelope saying "So I guess that makes him you" I feel like it would've hit better if she went "Odysseus it's you!" and pronounced every syllable in his word kinda like he does with her name. The "i guess" in the song bugs me, but it's not bad enough to ruin the moment or anything (especially since her voice is so damn pretty) -

OH MY GOD
i found out new lore about Hold Them Down in Epic thanks to pinterest and now i'm broken and i can't listen to the song without focusing on it soooo uh yeah -
i'm still so happy with how they chose to do the adaptation with the challenge in epic (spoilers, don't read until you finish the ithaca saga)
in the normal adaptations, odysseus is hidden as a beggar and when he proves he's the king by shooting the bow through the axes, and telemachus and penelope are both there to see the challenge happening. It's a noble challenge where no one is messing with the archer (at least in the multiple versions I read in English class lol, idk how that fits with the actual Homer story but all the other older adaptations have it go kinda like that)
in Epic however, the suitor man is tired of trying the challenge and repeatedly losing, and starts actively talking about his plan to kill telemachus and r*** penelope. Neither of them are there. It's just him and his men and this random beggar dude. The beggar shoots the arrow through the axes and kills him. it's odysseus!You can hear Odysseus' voice in the chorus the whole time if you pay attention, it's faint at the beginning and then get more obvious as mr suitor man talks about his wife
it's such a good version i love it so much -
i could go on for hours about all the motifs and symbolism and s--- in this saga-

i love how in the listening party of epic all the big ass burly dudes like Luke Holt were in tears at the end it's one of my favorite details
like not even little tears full on big tears-
