Verses or stanzas?
Refrains or Choruses?
I switch back and forth between verses and stanzas, and I say refrain instead of chorus. -
I use verses and chorus and I think stanza sounds more like a poetry and I never even heard about refrains

Might just be a church thing
But if you think about it a song is sort of like a poem -
It’s really a choir thingy

Verses if it's just lyrics, I really only associate stanzas with poetry and sheet music
