It takes a certain raspy voice to convey the anger and aggression that trash metal represents. I often find myself singing along to trash metal songs like Beat You to Death or f--- The Neighbors and, when I do, I often have to change the pitch of my voice so that the raspiness goes in key with the tone of the song. Some songs I need a lower more 'demonic' tone while others require a more casual 'sore throat' sound.
Y'alls opinion? -
Thrash metal, as with any other genre of music does take skill in making sure your pitch is correct. Just because it's different music doesn't mean that it doesn't take skill to do it.
