Surely I'm not the only one who sees this? Waves? Hurricane?

No. I don't think so. Hurricanes are named individually and are named by cycling through the alphabet. Like if there is a Hurricane Eric, never will there be another Eric because that's how it is referred to. Katrina is just a K name.
