To the point where if you were to ask me what kinda music I like I'd have to actually get a pen and paper to explain it. I can't just say I like Metal or Rock anymore XD they get the wrong idea.

Yeah I feel the same. I definitely listen to a lot of metal, but I've been branching out a lot lately. I'm listening to a lot of Radiohead and King's X lately, so I'm still sticking to rock somewhat.

I don't like any specific genre. I like bands and songs but no genre.

That's a good way to be, really. Just from metalhead's perspective, metal fans nitpick genre so much. I just don't care. And it's always good to bring in outside influences to keep things fresh when it comes to listening habits. I'm not gonna play Iron Maiden if I just want to chill out. But yeah, every genre has their microwave-able turds, better to explore than confine oneself to a single branch of the tree.
