I ask this because I've only recently realized how popular this band has become among non metal fans. This actually baffles me, considering that about 85% of the time they're blast beating and screaming relentlessly. Today I even found out my ex who listens to mostly indie rock/pop likes them. So I'm curious to know if anyone else likes them, because they became my favorite band of all time only a few short months ago.

Well if you're into black metal or more artsy types of music such post-rock and shoegaze, then I highly recommend listening to this band. If not, then you're probably good listening to what you're already into.

HM, well if you're ready to delve into "stranger" sort of music, then you should check out Slowdive and My Bloody Valentine for shoehaze, and Mogwai and Godspeed! You Black Emperor for post-rock.
