The whole song, as inappropriate as it sounds, is a love song. So that explains some things.
Just like any other modern day bands and artists like One Direction, Justin Bieber, Cody Simposon, Carly Rae, etc., well, the lyrics are f---ing catchy as s---. So of course people are going to buy into that type of stuff no matter how horrible it is. -
The song, rather than just your typical 'omg i luv u desu' crap, it's actually more like "I like a woman with self respect, a modest beauty is what I like best"
stuff like that.
So yeah, it's catchy as s---, the dance is fun (ESPECIALLY IN A FLASH MOB YES), and I enjoy the lyrics as well. -

The lyrics isn't good but the song itself is great.They asked PSy that what made people enjoy this song and he answered:"Because they have no idea about the lyrics."
