Um. Come again? xD You play guitar? If so, awesome!
Yep. My cousin is helping me with the drums and all that technology stuff so it'll take a few days unless you want to see a sample (with just my voice, piano/guitar)? -
s---, I didn't see this reply, I'm so sorry. xD
Yes, yes I do. Am learning electric and bass along with acoustic. I still honestly think I'm more of a bassist than anything. I like being part of the rhythm more than anything. The reason I was yelling like that is dad plays classical. I've heard acoustic and classical paired together in songs before, and they genuinely do sound good depending on the situation. I don't think it really helps in country esque music so I see where broken was coming from.
It's awesome you have someone like that to help you. The younglings are usually stuck trying to figure things out ourselves.
Just piano, guitar, and voice is fine. :3 -
It's fine :P
Wow, you sound good. It took me a few YouTube tutorials to figure out how to play the classical and acoustic xD. :O
Yeah, They sort of have that Taylor Swift riff to it... So a bit pop and country together? Lol. -
Nononononono I'm not good. I'm the worst guitarist you'll ever meet. LOL. My dad can play classical, not me. xD Too much finger movement required that my itty bitty brain cannot process.
Country pop? xD -
Damn recording a demo is harder than I thought it would be D:
I'm sure that's not true :)
Also, my acoustic guitar string broke D: I have to buy a new one. :'( Since my family is absolutely CLUELESS on guitars and music, any tips for choosing a new guitar??
Yeah, hard to explain :P you know... Taylor Swift style? The songs in her Fearless album NOT Red. -
HURRR of course it is. It's never easy :I you gotta mix the vocals and the instrumentals properly and balance the EQ. It's probably more painful for an original song than a cover though.
I understand this feeling, my classical guitar's string broke as well. :'I
New guitar, or guitar strings? if guitar strings, just ask the person at the music store, they should be able to help you out. If guitar then I've got no clue. I've had the same guitars for years.
Not hard to explain, I've only heard Fearless, not Red. I'm not a Swift fan so I've never heard Red. xD -
Yep :/ Have you ever tried recording a demo before? I'm still up to the first original song I wrote, I finished recording the Taylor Swift cover cos it was easy xD
The guitar string. I love my acoustic guitar I wouldn't swap my guitar for anything :l It's weird, like my guitar is my best friend xD
Ah, you know the song We Are Never Ever Ever Getting Back Together? That's from her Red album :P I honestly don't like it and think she should switch back to country but whatevs :P -
I've down covers, that's about it. xP I don't write songs very often.
String, just ask the store guy. :3 and i understand that feeling, that's how I feel with all of my guitars. THEY ARE MY BABIES.
HAHAHA I HATE THAT SONG, THAT IS THE ONE TAYLOR SWIFT SONG THAT I TRULY CAN'T STAND. -
Ah okay.
Yep. Haha, how many guitars do you have? I only have two, one classical (not very fond of the sound IMO) and an acoustic.
I HATE IT TOO. IT'S OVERPLAYED... EVERYWHERE I GO I HEAR Ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh, you called me up again last night... It's very annoying :P -
I heard it while roller skating.
Honestly, if it keeps my friend's mind off of her stupid ex, let her sing and listen to it all she wants. :P -
s---. f--- s---. I'm so sorry, I was isolated in Asia for a week, I left on the 15th I'm so sorry.
Anyways I have two guitars as well. (Three if you count the fact that my friend always leaves her acoustic here and never takes it home.)
I have a classical (this f---er is more than 30 years old and still plays beautifully) and an electric (this baby is all mine and I love it) and I'm saving up for a bass right now. So soon to be 3.
Yeah, it is annoying. x.x -
Haha, it's fine. No need to apologize I understand.
Ooh, cool!
And I heard classical guitar last longer. They don't hurt your fingers as much as steel string as well xP
I don't save up money, my parents buy it because they think 13 is a way too young age to save up :P I want to have my own money when I'm a bit older though. -
artofthegraves Newbieeverone else covered everything i wanted to say.but im gonna add my two cents.yeah decent talent and the internet will help you a lot.friends too.join talent shows and local stuff in your town like that.believe in yourself and keep going.money will be needed too.
-
Okay ;-;
They do last longer and they don't hurt your fingers that much because of the nylon strings. (I personally prefer the sound of nylons over steel tbh, although the sound is not as full)
Really? Its better to start saving early. I save up because I don't get an allowance since I come from a poor family. I get money from working. -
I'M SO SORRY FOR LATE REPLY I AM SO BUSY FOR YHE PAST FEW DAYS
Yeah, I favor the steel strings more.
I come from middle class, and still can't afford the things more girls afford.
Forgot to ask, how was Asia? I've always wanted to visit Asia.
