There is a difference between celebrities and musicians.

lol, what? Well, first ov all, I don't listen to s---ty mainstream musik, and second, celebrities don't do sh1t accept show up at fancy places in hollywood.

How do you think they become famous in the first place?
Most of the people mentioned here are musicicans (e.g. Justin Beiber, Miley Cyrus etc).
I didn't ask you if you listened to popular music I asked you why. -

Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus are both straight and they both make music for a living.

Doesn't matter, they make horrible musik and they are just mainstream, and being mainstream doesn't mean you make good musik. Also alot of people aren't all that passionate about music and don't have the curiosity to venture beyond the mainstream. Then once they've been brainwashed by mainstream music they're locked in- they have no interest in finding something else and deride everything creative and outside the realm of what is mainstream.
