GTQ NewbieNow I hear 15 year olds talking about how they searched on the internet on how to learn witchcraft and wizardry and become cool like Harry Potter and how they found a website! Just wow
Most of the chriastians here at my school hate HP. It promotes Witchcraft and Wizardry
What do you think??? -
whats the website?
-
The fact that the movie is based on witches and wizards should tell you, shouldn't it? -.-
So how would it NOT promote witchcraft and wizardry? -
Guys, it's a book. A fiction based book. People who are looking that stuff up are overtards. I like it a bit and I've had Christian friends who do too.
I'm a writer, so I know when to separate fact and fiction for me. :3 -
I suggest you research a book called, Finding God in Harry Potter. It will actually show you how much of christian religion is actually present in Harry Potter.
-
tongue AdvancedThere are alot of Christian overtones in Harry Potter. And Narnia. And Lord of the Rings. Fiction writers have been using the Bible has a model for ages. Makes sense, considering the Bible is the greatest work of fiction ever written.
-
Um, duh it's about witchcraft and wizardry.
But like Ana said, people who are going to seriously try to get into witchcraft just so they can be like a fictional character are...not right. xP
And christians who don't read just because of the witchcraft thing, well, that's their choice, but it's just a fiction book. It's not like somebody is going to read it and then suddenly start calling upon the power of Satan to give them magic powers or whatever.
People need to just chill out. >. -
yup i agree with nakita
-
I don't care if it's fictional, I like pretending.
-
I also agree with xen

I highly doubt you have read Harry Potter. That or you live under a rock. It's all over the place.
-
My friends are Christian. Most of them, anyway. Some of the biggest Christians are OBSESSED with HP. It's like she wants to marry Potter...
-
Sounds like me, Selena.

angelic4 Noviceof course it's witchcraft and wizardry, most Christians dont know it's wrong, i just hate HP, and there is no God in hp, it just tricks ppl to believing that, and Narnia was written by a Christian, and based on Christianity, like the lion is meant to be God,
