But I think movies like The Iron Giant and Into the Spider-Verse are some of the best animated movies, even better than some Disney/Pixar movies.
Let me be clear though, I still love Disney and Pixar very very much, the both hold an extremely special place in my heart, and every time they release a new movie, you bet your ass I see it, there are many great ones that I love, like all the Toy Story movies, Wall-E, Onward, Finding Nemo, Coco, there’s so many damn great ones, but I think other animated movies, namely the two that I mentioned are better than some of the ones they released.
The Iron Giant is obviously biased for me, but I think it’s criminally underrated. If you haven’t seen it, I highly recommend it. It’s got a great story, message and overall is just a beautiful movie.
Spider-Verse needs little to no explanation. In my opinion it’s one of the best animated movies hands down. It’s got a nice fresh story, an amazing voice cast, soundtrack, musical score, message, humor, visual animation style, it’s almost flawless. If you haven’t seen this movie, I’m going to guess you lived under a rock. No seriously if you for some reason haven’t seen this one either, please watch it.
