Thread Topic: Okay so I have a question...

ThisIsBrook NewbieI really want to be an actress. Since I was 5 years old! I am always acting, I act out scenes from movies and sometimes I just randomly say a line from a film. I'm only 13, and my school don't really do any drama or acting clubs, and since I've been there, there hasn't been any plays. I've had no experience, but it's something I really want to do. I just don't know where to start, so, can anyone help?

ThisIsBrook NewbieDidn't know where else to post it..

Ask your principle if you can start a Forensics (Drama) course.

Well, I can help you get started.
If you live in CA, I suggest you try to go to Gary's one-of-a-kind acting places called the Playground. If you get in, you get three years of acting practice and a chance to get an agent.

Ask dark said, try joining some kind of outside club.

I act. I'm going into a work shop. I may get an agent (we're working on it).
Try a work shop or, like Dark said, a club. This should get you familiar with the working with other actors and stage crew. You need good people skills to act. You also need memorization skills and the ability to speak slow and clearly (unless the play or film specifies otherwise).
And the most important one of them all, is you got to have courage. I had to get pie in my face during a play once. If you don't have courage, it's difficult to do some of the things the director or script wants you to do. -
ThisIsBrook NewbieThanks everyone, great advice!
