There is no scientific consensus on emotion in animals, but still many argue their case. Animal lovers, scientists, and philosophers alike have voiced their conclusions, yet it remains a mystery due to the facts that animals cannot explain themselves.
Whatever their opinion, all have to agree that animals do indeed feel pain, demonstrated by animal cruelty. Expressions of pleasure can and is interperated in different ways. For example, the purring of a cat could represent ecstsy or perhaps an instinctive characteristic passed down from generation to generation.
As with the many species we think of when we hear the term animal, there is controversy as to whether human emotion is "true" or just a hard-wired response to external stimuli.
Hooray for using big word x3 -

Perhaps you could include the thought of empaths in this? i know people with empathy can feel the emotions of others, and i don't just mean humans. Some empaths can feel the emotions of animals as well. Maybe some research on that will help!

demigods4eva NoviceAlso, you might include that animals might have emotions, just not the SAME emotions as humans, or they might feel their emotions in a different way. Just a thought. But really good overall!
