Chained Heart NewbieFlower, wilted
Pedals fall like autumn leaves
Once so beautiful
But now is left in dirt
That flower, tells a story
Of a broken hearted boy
Dropped after rejection
From the one who held his heart
He loves me, loves me not
Nothing left but a stem
It feels naked and lonely
Of no use anymore
Rain falls all around
Washes away the stem
To a place it will go back into earth
And grow again a new flower
Flowers, all around
More than before
Moving on
That boy smiles. -

The moon sings to me as I play the piano
We are alone together with just the tempo
Morning just around the corner doesn't stop us
From making magic with just our souls
We sleep in the night because it's the time of dreams
It's the place where things can be of our creation
A time where lovers dance, and writers plan
Yes night is the playground of the divine
Our hearts reveal what the sun could not
And we don't have to see with our eyes to know
That there's more to this universe than what's in our hands
The stars take their parts on the stage of night sky
So as I sit with my sheet music I look out my window
At a full moon that shines whiter than snow
I let my instincts take over and play a gentle song
Everything with flows out of my soul. -

It's lost to portraying the things unseen
It's unworthy to explain a young heart's dream
I've stood and asked the questions no one will ask
And for it I've been ridiculed and laughed at
For insecurity and discomfort cause mockery and trash
Though with just a word, emotions can stir
And with a whole sentence, wars can occur
Because in some manmade ideas words hold power
But even in all the pain and unrest
There is love around us to see and ingest
And this love I see is truly the best
The two that craft this thing called love
Don't need words to express enough
Just how important it is to us
