thisismyquiz NovicePrologue
I don't remember them. Neither does Lissie. Only Nana remembers, and she won't talk...
Chapter 1: Me
"Good morning, Lissie," I said, sitting straight up in bed. I yawned, stretching my arms at the same time. Lissie didn't answer.
I watched her curiously. She was staring out the window at something. I hopped out of bed and peered out as well. I saw nothing of interest. "Oh! Ray! I didn't see you!I was just staring off into space, I guess..." Lissie seemed to come back into reality. That said, I went to our closet. It was a large closet, which was convinient since Lissie and I share a room. I grabbed my favorite red henley and a pair of skinny jeans. "Ray?" asked Lissie. "Mmmm." I replied. "Has Nana ever told you anything about our parents at all? Ever?" Lissie inquired. "No, Lissie," I sighed, "You know Nana won't tell anyone anything!" "Not even right when it happened?" "No, Lissie not EVER!" I was getting very annoyed. See, one night, when I was about eleven and Lissie was about eight, our parents took a drive and never came home. We had been staying with a teenager, who was scared to death when our parents weren't back by midnight. So she called the emergency number. The emergency number was Nana. Nana is not our grandmother. She's our godmother. But neither Lissie nor I had ever seen her before. Anyways, Nana came over and made some mysterious calls and drove downtown(I know this because I was spying from the stairs when I should have been asleep). She camd back depressed and grumpy. She never told us what happened, she only said, "Your parents are off for A while."
I think they're dead. And why shouldn't I? No one goes on vacations for 5 years unless they're very rich, which my parents weren't. Anyways, Lissie is always bugging me about it. "Rachel! Elizabeth!" called Nana from downstairs. "Almost ready!" I yelled, slipping on my high-tops. Lissie sighed, quickly dressed and made her bed, all the while pouting. We brushed our teeth, combed our hair and all that, then flopped downstairs. Nana had oatmeal waiting.
Lissie groaned. "Elizabeth, stop groaning and eat up! You are thirteen years old, now start acting like it!" grouched Nana. She was always uptight in the mornings. Lissie grudgingly sat down and hurriedly gobbled her breakfeast down. I calmly ate my breakfast while trying to get Lissie to slow down. "Now whats this, no 'thank you'?" grumbled Nana. "Thank you," the sisters said in unison. They all got into the car and rode until they reached Kelly Bridge Middle.
Lissie jumped out, waving and running at the same time. I smiled and waved back. Then we turned the corner and there sat Creek High School. I said Goodbye to Nana, grabbed my backpack and walked towards the large brick building. I spotted my best friend, Gwen and marched up to her. "OMG, Ray, did you hear? Jess and Luke BROKE UP!" said Gwen in a whisper-scream. "I told you, I'm not interested in Luke AT ALL." I said flatly. -
thisismyquiz Novice"Yeah, well you SHOULD be!" Gwen argued, " Hes totally cute!"
"Listen, Gwen, I gotta get to geometry and its at the other end of the school, soo..."
"Okay. Meet me at Table 13 as usual!" Gwen replied. -
thisismyquiz NoviceI hurried off. I didn't want to be late for homeroom AGAIN. I stepped inside the crowded hallway, rushed to my locker, left everything in there but got my geometry book, a pencil and my purse. I zoomed
Down the hall to Room 100. Finally, I arrived- and just in time! Mr. Albert was startinh
Class the moment I sneakily slid into my seat. "There you are, Rachel." Mr. Albert said. "Yessir," I replied promptly. "Now, class, lets all turn in our assingments!" Mr. Albert was not the kind of teacher who stayed on one subject for more than a minute. I raised my hand. "Yes, Rachel?" Mr. Albert let out a small sigh. "I didn't, er, finish It..." I stammered. Mr. Albert looked exasperared. "Then finish it tonight!" he snapped.
"Yessir," I replied again. -
thisismyquiz NoviceHe continued teaching his stupid geometry while the rest of us doodoed in our workbooks or passed notes. I drew a poodle over the octagon on page 104, and Raleigh, the girl who sits next to me, giggled. "Raleigh! Be quiet!" snapped Mr. Albert.

thisismyquiz NoviceThe bell for second period rang. Everyone scrambled to be first out the door. I came out last, no surprise. My next period was Drama, which I HATE.
-
thisismyquiz NoviceMainly because
1) Brigetta and Lexie, the most popular 11th graders in school are both in it
2) Brigetta and Lexie tricked me into joining drama elective because they run it.
(By the way, at Creek High, students can not only start clubs, they can also start a twice-a-week elective).
3) we're choosing our play today, and I know I'll get a crummy part.
4) Everyone in Drama Elective hates me. -
thisismyquiz NoviceBasically, Brigette and Lexie make us do a hard work out, order us to do something with them, and then make us clean the room. Then Mr. Clark, who teaches in the same room for third period comes in, sees Brigette and Lexie "cleaning" while everyone else sits tiredly in the chairs. Then, he gets our Vice-Proncipal, who guves them awards and gives us cafeteria clean up duty. Its always the same.
