He stood there, just waiting. He said I was going to die, and when I looked at the cuts and bites on my wrist, I totally believed him. My blood was making the dirty concrete underneath us crimson and sticky. The worst part was, I knew I hadn't lived my life right. I'd failed; been a horrible person. I stared up at him, my eyes showing anger, sadness, and immense pain.
"Just... just kill me now,"" I whispered. I knew I was close; I was almost there.
He smirked. "Not likely." His voice was icy; a hiss like I'd heard from so many of the cats he controlled. He lifted a hand, touching my wrist. I winced, and he laughed, licking a bit of my blood from his finger. "I've tried so hard for so long, now that I have you, I want to make you suffer."
I tried to scream. If someone heard me, they might find us. He laughed. "What was that? I couldn't hear you."
I tried to clench my fists, but I couldn't. I looked up at him, trying to grin. He met my brown gaze with his own, a silvery blue shade. His black hair flipped over his right eye, and my eyes closed. Then pain was gone. -
