I might should explain about my character…
Lyra Alistaire, age 17
Sort of on another planet is where she lives. Her parents are big on perfection and aren’t afraid to belittle her. She comes from a very prestigious family going back generations, and has come to expect the verbal abuse as the norm and thinks it’s alright, since they’re her parents.
Her sister recently ran away, saying she’d found out about a “master plan to destroy the world,” and keeps trying to get Lyra to come with her. However, Lyra is in denial of her parents’ evil streak and doesn’t wish to go, no matter how hard her sister tries.
Eventually, Lyra sees that her sister is telling the truth and she leaves her home to come with her.
There’s other stuff that’s a little hard to explain, but it all happens afterward and I just need to figure out her character in the beginning -
Okay. So what do you see her as?
Like a quiet shy kinda person or loud and outgoing?
Just to start off. -
I see her as slightly arrogant; sure of her family’s greatness. She’s nice enough, but doesn’t have much experience interacting with people and prefers to be alone. She’s quiet, but not in the shy sense, more like “I would rather do anything other than talking or engaging in conversation.”

So kinda arrogant and proud, quiet, and ... introverted? Could we say that?

Okay. So those are her traits the entire time, correct?

Yes and yes
I want her to have just one power, nothing to do with darkness or light if possible. She's supposed to be struggling with it, but I can't seem to find one that fits her -
Okay. What's her home planet like?
That can help decide what power she has. -
Her home planet is much like earth in terms of weather and climate--depending where you are, it's either sunny, rainy, cold, snowy, etc.
The colors, however, are different-- the sky is sometimes purple, sometimes blue, but never anything else. The ground is mostly a dull gray concrete/stone.
They have three moons: Sol, Essence, and Csilla.
For social status, Lyra's family is top dog. They are feared and respected, and generally make all the laws.
Lots of people are poor on that planet; the wealth is hoarded by the Alistaires.
Many different kinds of people inhabit the planet--there are people who can transform into cats, people who can transform into birds, people who train in wand magic, etc. (The Alistaires' magic is much more powerful; they were born with it and blessed by a spirit. The people who study it have only their own meager resources.)
Planet's name is Nova
It's early in the morning for me, and my brain is scattered right now, so please tell me if there's anything key that I need to say about the planet -
Okay, that makes lot of sense. Umm, give me a little to think through this and see if I can come up with some specific powers. How many do you want her to have?
